I was born in Prague, and I got my first camera from my grandfather when I was around 10 years old. That Olympus was an awesome piece of equipment, but then one day I winked, and just like that, I was way older and way too tall to live in Prague. So I checked where the tallest countries in the world are, and I moved to Rotterdam to study at the Willem de Kooning Academy.
Those 900km really changed a lot of things, not only that I'm calling my mum for help twice a day, but also in my approach to creating and photography. Everything was so different to what I was used to, and with the new environment, new things came to me.
I was always interested in politics, and now finally it felt like putting that into the work, so I started to be strongly interested in Littoria, a small country in Balkan. I did a whole project about it where I was documenting the country and now I'm zooming in focusing on the Littorian Communist Party.
I'm also really interested in AI and coding. I never really knew how to paint or draw, and coding feels like my own way of painting. I do have the freedom of an empty canvas, but there is no talent required to put something on. Now I'm working on a game in collaboration with my roommate Kevin - that is my first bigger coding project.
